Unlike conventional vertical fore-grips, the Magpul® AFG2 (Angled Fore-Grip) takes into account natural body mechanics and provides a comfortable and stable user interface that reduces fatigue and allows for more precise weapon control. By positioning the shooter's hand high on the centerline of the bore, the AFG2 helps mitigate recoil and control the weapon, facilitating faster, more accurate follow-up shots. The AFG2 is a slim line design that is shorter in overall length and width compared to the AFG1. Smaller size allows for compatibility with a wider variety of rail systems, rail covers, and accessory mounts. Made in U.S.A.

  • Polymer three-piece design with an interchangeable finger shelf that allows for a flat "A1-style" surface or an "A2-style" finger nub
  • Mounts to MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny and NATO STANAG 4694 rails (min. of ~3" recommended)
  • All mounting hardware included

    Great product

Ok, got this for my wife's AR15. Fit the rail great, just wish they'd switch out the flat-tip screwdriver bolt to an Allan key, I think it'd make it much better.
She couldn't use the vertical grip and loves this one much better. Who knew, her accurracy went up too although I'm not sure it was the AFG but probably just the fact that she is more comfortable holding the rails now than she was with the VFG.

AFG2 is much better than AFG

I own both the original AFG and now the AFG2. The AFG2 is the only way to go if you want to have full use of your rail. Otherwise you need to have a dremel tool and grind part of the AFG. I can see Magpul elliminating the AFG now.
