The BCM® Extractor Spring is a heavy coil design made for the increased extractor tension required on many AR15, M4, M16 short barreled rifles. This product also improves the reliability on a standard 16" and 14.5" carbines.
As with all BCM branded products, the highest quality is the primary focus. Our BCM Extractor Spring is manufactured by a 9001:2000 facility employing the latest precision equipment. BCM starts with only the highest quality chrome silicon material, heat treats to stress relieve the product and shot peens to add increased strength.
This kit also includes the new black extractor insert, standard on all M4, M4A1, Mk18 carbines and the recent new standard on M16A4 rifles. The BCM Extractor Spring is so strong the Mil-Spec Crane O-Ring will probably not be needed, but it is included.

    Great things in small packages

    I was frustrated with a new build due to what I thought was gas problems at first. It turned out to be a failed extractor spring.. YES it was a new BCG yet the spring failed in only a few rounds. Replaced the spring/post and doughnut with this kit and VIOLA - problem solved...and all for about 4 bucks!

    Great Extractor Spring Upgrade Kit

    This kit has been tested by using steel cased 556 and 223 ammo. No failures to extract. Made my 223 Wylde AR very reliable firing steel cased rounds. Satisfied customer!

    Have installed a few so far but haven't shot

    Haven't shot with them installed yet but seem like they would be like a pit bull in comparison to the stock spring that's more like a poodle

    BCM Extractor Spring Upgrade Kit - 3 Pack

    I finally figured out that my Ar 's problem was the extractor. When these new springs arrived I removed the old one and sure enough, it was totally collapsed. The BCM spring was wound of a thicker material and was twice as tall. I haven't been able to shoot it again but I'm confident my extraction issue is resolved.

    Replacement extractor springs

    I decided to give BCM a shot when it came time to replace the extractor springs in my M4 clone and my ARAK-21 upper. Started having issues with steel case and figured these would help. Definite improvement with both rifles. For now I went with using the new springs and inserts without the additional o-ring and they seem to be doing the trick. Later I might install the o-rings also but doubt its really necessary, at least for me. Good job BCM on quality parts at a good price.
