The BCM® Extractor Spring is a heavy coil design made for the increased extractor tension required on many AR15, M4, M16 short barreled rifles. This product also improves the reliability on a standard 16" and 14.5" carbines.
As with all BCM branded products, the highest quality is the primary focus. Our BCM Extractor Spring is manufactured by a 9001:2000 facility employing the latest precision equipment. BCM starts with only the highest quality chrome silicon material, heat treats to stress relieve the product and shot peens to add increased strength.
This kit also includes the new black extractor insert, standard on all M4, M4A1, Mk18 carbines and the recent new standard on M16A4 rifles. The BCM Extractor Spring is so strong the Mil-Spec Crane O-Ring will probably not be needed, but it is included.

    AR pistol must have

    I was having problems with extraction on my 10.5 ar pistol. It ran about 100 rounds perfect then the next time I ran the gun nothing but extraction problems. (All my BCG are BCM full auto so I know my bolt was fine) After doing some resource I though it was a magazine issue (but I only run high quality mags). So I ordered some new mags for testing. With the same problem. Then I tried a heavy buffer...and you guessed it same problem Failure to extract. I was frustrated but also determined to make my gun run 100% all the time frustrated but also determined to make my gun run 100% all the time. Then I came across a video form Mr guns and gear. It was on the spring upgrade kit the gun he was showing had the same issue as mine. I ordered it right away it took 5 minutes to instal. I ran another 100 rounds through it with 100% reliability. I will be upgrading all my BCG To the upgraded kit.
    Hope this helps others in the same situation

    Nice upgrade for MK 18 type rifle

    Easy to install and provides positive extraction on SBR's and NATO rounds. The O-ring may be overkill but my brass looks good.

    Fixed the cycling issue in my 6.5 grendel right up. Put one in the pistol build but but she ain’t done yet. Figures never hurts to have one on tap 🇺🇸
