ALG Defense Combat Trigger (ACT)

ALG-ACT
Stock Status:
The ALG Defense Advanced Combat Trigger (ACT) is designed for those shooters where tradition, value and regulatory concerns are of primary importance. The pull of the ACT is very similar to a standard mil-spec trigger, however it is sharper and the grittiness of the stock trigger pull has been removed while the traditional reliability of a stock trigger remains. The pull weight is not lower than the M4/M16 minimum weight specification of 5.5lbs.

Note about HardLubing:

HardLubing is ALG's term for electroless Nickel plating with an integral modifier to the base nickel plate. Either Boron or Teflon is used to enhance surface hardness, wear resistance and corrosion resistance and also create favorable tribological properties of the trigger components.

Testing has shown that differential coating of the trigger parts contributes to the sharpness of the ACT's single stage pull. The trigger component is plated with Nickel-Boron which has a high surface hardness combined with excellent wear resistance. The color is a pleasing matte light grey that may be painted on non-functional surfaces if the shooter so desires (such as the trigger bow that is visible outside the lower receiver). The hammer, disconnector and trigger/hammer pins are plated with Nickel-Teflon which combines a low coefficient of friction with good wear resistance. The Teflon impregnation colors the metal a mottled, greyish/green. Parts coated with Nickel-Teflon cannot be painted. Both coatings are highly corrosion resistant eliminating the oil seal of traditional phosphated firearm components.

    Excellent trigger for the money

This trigger is a great mil-spec type trigger for the money. The break is smooth and crisp. It comes with two springs of different strike tension. The best trigger for the price I've seen. If you want a great trigger but are unwilling to drop hundreds of dollars, this is your trigger.

    ALG combat trigger

This is a very good trigger. Not gritty at all. Also comes with a lighter hammer spring. Very nice. Well worth the money!

    Best Bang for Your Buck

No creep, no grit. A nice clean breaking trigger at about 5 lbs with the purple spring. Love It!

    Pretty nice trigger

I replaced a stock Daniel Defense trigger with this, and while the difference is noticeable, it's not enormous. This would be an absolute home run if you were upgrading a cheap, gritty trigger, but if you've got a decent stock one the difference may be small. I had an initial issue with the trigger not resetting, but it worked itself out with just a few dry fires.

    Smooth

After a lot research, I decided to save some money and go with this trigger. I'm glad I did. This is what it says it is, a combat trigger, so the pull is a little lighter but retains good strikes and control. The break is crisp with positive reset and very little to no creep, compared to the factory trigger. BCM is always my go to. Ordered on Weds, had it on Sat with Thanksgiving right in the middle of shipping.

    Alg trigger

Awesome trigger.. I installed this trigger in my ruger AR-556 wich if anybody knows has a very gritty trigger pull. Now with the ALG trigger its has a great crisp pull and better reset for the money

    I like it

Still keeps the 5+ pound trigger pull but it is a lot smoother. First trigger job on an AR and I had to go back and re-watch some videos but I figured it out. Simple system really.
