    The Surefire X300 Ultra can be found at many places with questionable reliability. BCM has a great reputation and the price was exceptional, the service was top notch, with the product being shipped quickly from the point of sale.

    I have the original X300 and the ultra is definitely a step up. The ultra is slightly longer than the original buy maybe a 1/4". And it is most certainly brighter and what appears to me to be a more solid beam of light. It utilizes the same mounting setup as the original but comes with the universal mount installed. I had to swap it for a tighter fit on my colt rail gun. All of the controls are the same as the original. This light comes with a small vial of blue loctite which is the first time for me that this was included. I haven't tried it out while practicing low/no light live fire but I am confident that it will be up to the task. I feel comfortable having this as my dedicated weapon light for my colt rail gun which will now replace my kimber as my CCW weapon. BCM has one of the best prices and shipping here to Alaska during the holidays was as good as it gets, one day early. Order this light with confidence, you will not be disappointed. Quality product from a quality business.
