Kinesthetic Angled Grip - KeyMod™ Version

 

The KAG is the end result of collaboration between BCM® and Travis Haley, founder of Haley Strategic Partners and inventor of multiple weapons manipulation enhancements in the firearms industry.

Designed to complement modern shooting grips, the Kinesthetic Angled Grip (KAG) uses a biomechanically efficient forward rake to create an interface for positive retention and joint relief to the wrist, elbow, and shoulder, allowing for smooth weapon manipulation without substantial increase to the girth of the weapon system. Textured on both front and back, the profile of the KAG creates a channel for consistent and positive engagement which translates directly into improved efficiency in weapons manipulation and target to target transitions.

 

Forward rake gives positive retention when using C-clamp (thumb over bore) method of handguard support

Works as a rest for supported firing positions

Slight angle without significant bulk adds just the right amount of relief to the wrist without substantially increasing the girth of the handguard

Small profile is just enough to get repeatable hand position on weapon for-end

Innovative patent pending attachment method allows for robust clamping and alignment with minimal hardware and slender accessory size

Textured in front and back for positive engagement

Installation Instructions - Tools needed: T15 Torx Driver (not supplied)

Insert tool (T15 Torx driver) into the screw from under the BCM KeyMod KAG Handstop

Push tool into screw to extend the KeyMod anchor, making it protrude from the top

Align the anchors to the two selected large holes of the desired KeyMod slots

After the anchor is inserted, slide the KAG Handstop forward until it travels no further

Push the Handstop against rail, engaging the accessory s recoil lug to the intersecting KeyMod opening

With the Recoil Lug engaged, tighten screw to snug the anchor (approximately 18-20 inch-lbs. plus quarter turn*DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN*)

Ensure there is no play or forward/backward movement once tightened.

 

*Blue thread locker may be used on threaded fasteners

    New fore end grip KAG

    Arrived last night and mounted right away. Nicely contoured and comfortable. I like that it is smaller than the snubby vertical grip, but should have a use as a barrier stop. FDE color matched all other accessories on my rifle. Shipping was quick. Thanks BCM USA.

    The KAG for the keymod rails Is a great grip. I use it as a hand stop and I feel like I get the same positive grip every time

    Of my dreams

    This KAG is awesome. I have never been a fan of your traditional cylinder shaped grip. After two deployments I always wished for better alternatives. Some other alternatives are bulky and awkward. This KAG is perfect providing light comfortable, anatomically correct natural control over your weapon.

    Nice, lightweight, low profile AFG

    I bought it to try out on my first Keymod rail system. I prefer handstops on all of my rifles. Typically I have to add a rail section then add a modified vertical grip to use as a handstop. I tried the Magpul AFG2 and did not like the added girth and overall feeling. Rail section adds a little extra girth as well at polymer panels. I have small hands so I wanted to keep the overall profile minimal. The BCM Keymod panels are absolutely fantastic. I wish Centurion Arms came out with something similar. The KAG is very low profile and does not change the thickness very much. Its angled well to duplicate similar feeling like a traditional vertical foregrip being used as a handstop. The angle is appropriate as it slopes at a reasonable angle, but I like the fact that it ends up vertical, which allows me to forcefully pull it back into the shoulder. The Magpul AFG2 was difficult to do as my hand would want to naturally slide rearward.

    Another quality bcm product

    A great handstop for grip repetition. Puts your hand in a very natural position for activation of an inforce wml on an offset mount.
