About the BCM® Standard 16" 300 BLACKOUT Complete Upper Receiver w/ KMR-A15 Handguard

  • Continuous taper barrel profile designed for optimal weight, balance, and performance.
  • Barrel profile fluted toward the rear near chamber area - Increases strength and heat dissipation.
  • Tapered barrel profile out front, for easier maneuverability.
  • No sharp handguard cap shoulder for improved barrel harmonics and improved accuracy.
  • Muzzle threaded in standard 30 cal (5/8x24).

  • KMR-A15 KeyMod™ Handguard.

BCM® has taken great care to ensure the best possible performance and interchangeability. However, due to the large operational range of 300 Blackout ammunition in the market place, BCM® cannot guarantee function will all ammunition types in all conditions. These barrels were designed to run with a H3 buffer with high velocity ammo.

If running subsonic ammunition, it is recommended to run your suppressor and a carbine buffer. Fine tuning may be required in limited instances based on ammo and buffer choices that work best for the desired application. BCM® also recommends running the Crane O-ring (provided with all BCM® Bolt Carrier Groups) over the extractor with 300 Blackout.

    BCM 16" 300 BLK upper

    Having put the BCM 300 BLK upper on the Stag lower taken from my 3-gun rifle, I've taken it to the range three times. Shooting 220 grain SMK unsuppressed I was struck by this, that BCM sized the gas port just right to work with the more common buffer/spring combinations. The barrel has proven accurate. It's relatively light and maneuverable.

    I Roll 5.56 - 90%

    I like what Frank Proctor has to say about 5.56 at 600 meters. Shooting 300 blk has its pluses and minuses and will depend on your application. Subsonic - cqb - rock that. And, that's why I have this instrument at my ready.
    BCM complete uppers are factory tested and a lot of value to your total build equation. This particular instrument is not paired with and BCM lower. In this case I have a Battle Arms - forged gen 1 lower with multiple parts from many suppliers.
    Outside of the trigger(which is totally preference based by application and will remain nameless other than to say it was not a part of a standard milspec lower parts kit) - the alpha KMR & BCM barrel, ambi charging handle and BCG on this gun makes it an excellent selection. In fact three of the last AR builds have been 100% BCM.
    Great quality gear - if you need to get down.

    BCM standard 16" 300 BLK upper

    Awesome product. There are no downsides ever to using BCM products. I recommend them all the time to friends as I watch them go through rifles trying to beat the price or out do what you provide. I'll keep buying. This is my second rifle from you third upper from you guys. Thanks and keep it up.

    Perfection

    The upper is flawless. It mounts to the lower I already had with zero play. Like none. The rifle feels amazingly solid. Works as advertised, just boring reliability. No funny "it stovepiped" stories for me I guess. These things just run.
