These Barreled Upper Receiver Groups are designed for shooting professionals and responsible civilians with the Mil-Spec features for the demands of their duty. They are fully assembled, headspaced, and test fired.
 
As a note: Prior to shipping, all BCM upper receiver groups are test fired for function, laser bore sighted with a Milspec carry handle for sight alignment within Mil-Specs, and then batch samples are test fired for accuracy. As such, the upper receiver group will show handling marks consistent with these quality control procedures.

SS410 Barrel Steel

This 18" BCM barrel is machined from SS410 stainless steel. Featuring hand lapped 1/8 twist rate button rifling and M4 feed ramps barrel extensions, the 410 stainless barrel gives the shooter the best balance of weight and accuracy. 410 stainless is also harder and more corrosion resistant than conventional 416 stainless found in other commercially available precision barrels.

M4 Feed Ramp Barrel Extension and Upper Receiver

In developing the USGI M4 carbine as one of the primary weapons for today's infantry, some modifications were performed to the original M16 platform to enhance the reliability of the shorter barreled carbines. With the shorter carbine gas system and the increased gas port pressure, the carbine cycled faster, and at times the cycle rate could be faster than the magazine would feed ammunition. One of the modifications done to increase reliable feeding included enhancing the angle and the length of the feed ramps.
 
This USGI modification was done to both the barrel extension and the upper receiver, creating a longer and steeper feed ramp. These Mil-Spec M4 feed ramps are part of the original CNC manufacturing process. As a result, the factory machined M4 feed ramps on the receiver are hard coat anodized which adds significant strength to the aluminum. This feature is offered on all BCM upper receivers and all BCM barrels.

T-Marked Upper Receiver

The contemporary M16/M4 rifle is built around the concept of modularity. All of the BCM flat top uppers feature a USGI type laser etched T-marks to provide addressing for the remounting of tactical accessories such as optics, laser sights, etc. This enables the weapon platform to be easily configured and then accurately reconfigured for each specific mission.

5.56 NATO Match Chamber (USMC SAM-R Chamber)

The USGI 5.56 NATO chamber is the best choice for effective deployment, reliability, and compatibility, of higher chamber pressures of military or high quality personal defense ammounition.  The SAM-R chamber is the precision version of the 556 NATO chamber.

    Exactly what I expected

    I've got a few hundred rounds thru this upper so far with zero issues. It was exactly what I wanted for my SPR build. It has been holding groups from .7"-1.2" with 69gr smk, 75gr hornady bthp, and 62gr fmj-bt and a better shooter could probably tighten those up a bit. Update: I still love this upper after several hundred more rounds and have had the chance to shoot it out to distance and in multiple shooting positions successfully (I have it paired with a Leupold 3-9x mark ar mildot scope). However I find myself thinking that the barrel is heavier than need be. It has a very thick contour under the KMR rail and BCM has the weight of this barrel listed as 2lbs 8oz on this site. In my opinion the weight of the barrel could be brought much closer to 2lbs and be just as good. Also I would have preferred that this complete upper be offered with the same barrel in the black ionbond. I still love it and think the 5 star rating is muchvdeserved, just a couple small knitpicks.

    High quality, light. Diameter of rail small for my hand, but overall very impressed. Will purchase another upper from BCM for sure.

    Quality all around, very satisfied

    The fit and finish of all items was amazing quality. Bravo company takes great pride in what they do and have quality materials and components which show in the products. I purchased this upper with the compensator and bolt carrier group. All are great and function superbly. This complete upper on my rifle groups 55gr great for an 18 inch barrel. Most shooters recommend 62 grain to 77 grain for an 18 inch white 1 in 8 twist but 55 shoots great too. This rifle build is for 3 gun competition and I am very satisfied with it. Thanks Bravo Company for the great products and the extra swag included with my order such as the hat, key chain, posters, etc.

    Excellent product

    I ordered the BCM SS410 18" Rifle Upper Receiver Group w/ BCM KMR-*ALPHA* 15" Handguard 1/8 Twist 1 with BC bolt carrier group, to place it on an AERO precision lower. The fit and finish of this BC upper is superb. I have just shot my first 100 on the rifle without any hiccup, as it is expected from one of the premier AR builders. Thanks Bravo.     First AR build BCM great choice

    This is my first AR build. A friend that is a LEO suggested BCM. Upper showed up on time. Looks great and shoots great.

    Exceptional Product!

    Purchased one of the BCM SS410 18" uppers and couldn't be happier. As soon as you pull it out of the box you can see, and feel, the quality of work. The KMR hand guard fits in my hand perfectly, unlike some of the other bulkier hand guards and the accuracy out of the box is exceptional. I broke the barrel in by using the shoot 2 clean, shoot 3 clean, shoot 5 clean method while also zeroing in at 50 yards. After break in I stacked 2 consecutive shots on top of each other at 50 yards and moved out to 200 yards where I was shooting MOA groups with XM193 ball ammo and a Vortex 1x4 PST. I have no doubt that this upper will be able to stack up sub MOA groups with match grade ammo.

    Great product BCM, I will definitely continue to buy.

    Great Competition Upper

    Have 537 rounds through it from one range trip and one rifle competition. Pros: Accuracy, thin rail, price, and soft shooting. This upper with a M4-72 comp is noticeably softer shooting than a Spikes 16" mid-length gas with a SJC Titan comp. Cons: Aluminum rail heats up quickly and retains that heat, weight. Can make a lightweight build feel a tad barrel heavy. Pleased with purchase but would like to see an enhanced lightweight version if possible.

    KMR -*ALPHA* keymod system with 18" barrel

    BCM has a great product here combining with there *ALPHA* handgard is very inovative. The keymod is truly awsome you can set up your rifle to your costom needs. Has a very slim feel and light weight not like a bulky quadrail. The quality is top mil spec and I have a 18" ss nm barrel that shoots sub MOA groups at 100 yards all day. Im a former Marine shooting Instructor and have been around this wepon system for over 20 years BCM nailed it.
