Set Screws are Steel 10-32 x 3/16 Knurled Cup PointAfter months of waiting to deplete my stock of 5.56 I finally switched out the barrel on my LMT Defender 2000 AR-15. The swap was easy and quick as should be expected. I also ordered BCM’s low profile gas block with set screws. The fit to the upper was really snug and took some gentle coaxing to seat completely. This means BCM took great care in their tolerance with the actual barrel and the finish made it that much more perfect on the mounting. I’m using a free float handguard from Centurion (bought at BCM as well) so no worries about the stock M4 style handguard affecting the precision. The gas block was super tight and needed a little fine sanding with 600 grit wet/dry to snugly fit over the barrel’s gas port. The set screws work fantastic and after a test fit and final mounting a little blue thread locker will keep them from backing out. I may stake them in the future if needed. All told it took less than 15 minutes to install including test fitting and final fitting.
I purchased the BCM gas block because I was having problems with another brand of gas block. I have always heard good things about BCM products and I was not disappointed. The gas block was beautifully machined and fit perfectly on my barrel . I have not had any gas issues with this gas block and will use BCM the next time I need a high quality part for my AR.

This gas block is the best your money can buy. Easy install and precise fit. I tried a cheap gad block I bought from a friend and it was a waste of my money and time. BCM has the right parts and the right prices for excellent builds every time.
Bcm never disappoints
Well crafted and well made. Fits very snugg on my barrel. I had to use a nylon hammer to knock it into place so I didn't find it necessary to dimple the barrel. I put about 1000 rounds down range with out any issues and after checking alignment it's right where I left it. Great product well worth the money!
