All the advantages and features of Bravo Company's KeyMod™ Rail, now available in 100% aluminum

 

Manufactured from aluminum, it is lightweight yet durable. Also featuring a proprietary patent pending mounting, indexing and lock up system that mitigates 12:00 rail movement under heat generated from the barrel nut.

 

Handguard alone weighs 7.8oz!

Handguard flares forward (towards muzzle end) at the 3 and 9 O'clock positions approximately 1/4"

The KMR barrel nut will fit over all mil-spec diameter barrels (max of 1")

Mounting hardware, 2.4oz, for a total of 10.2oz on a very long 13 rail.

 

The KMR Alpha is hardcoat anodized for corrosion resistance as well as to maintain a non-reflective finish.

 

The KeyMod interface system was developed by Eric Kincel (now the Director of BCM's product development team) to work in parallel with the current picatinny system. In many applications it will advance modularity past the current 1913 rail system.

 

The BCM KMR Alpha also allows for a larger range of modularity offering 4 different offset mounting positions between traditional 3,6,9, and 12:00 positions.

 

In the most basic of applications the KeyMod system allows for universal modularity between various manufacturers of accessories, and accessory rails. A big win for the trigger puller. As the industry advances the modular accessories will mount directly to the KeyMod instead of picatinny, allowing for a lighter, cleaner, and less bulky weapon system.

Please note: Nylon/Polymer Picatinny rail sections are for NON-load bearing accessories only. For load bearing accessories, we recommend aluminum Picatinny rail sections. Do NOT exceed 20 in/lbs. when securing KeyMod Fasteners on Polymer accessories. Aluminum Picatinny rail sections may be torqued to 30 in/lbs

    Great product

    This hand guard was my second KMR. Fit, install and finish all amazing. Only hand guard I'll use from now on. Hint, if you heat up the barrel nut end of the hand guard with a blow dryer it will easily slide on.

    Not Surprised

    I have purchased several BCM products. Once I recieved this product, installed it (myself) on the AR, and operated the weapon, I realized (once again) BCM is a stand-a-lone name of quality. Don't question it, just buy one.

    Excellence

    I was skeptical at first about this rail, especially the barrel nut and how it would line up with the barrel and gas system. I was very wrong! Everything lined up perfectly, and the rail is very secure. It is also very comfortable, and extremely lightweight. It feels lighter than the magpul midlength handguard on my other BCM upper. The only problem i see is that now I'm going to have to retrofit all my other uppers with kmr handguards. If the BCM logo is on something, you can be sure it's top shelf!

    The BCM KMR is probably one of my favorite rails. I have the rail on two of my rifles and absolutely love it! It's definitely worth buying quality and look are incredible!
