All the advantages and features of Bravo Company's KeyMod™ Rail, now available in 100% aluminum

 

Manufactured from aluminum, it is lightweight yet durable. Also featuring a proprietary patent pending mounting, indexing and lock up system that mitigates 12:00 rail movement under heat generated from the barrel nut.

 

Handguard alone weighs 7.8oz!

The KMR barrel nut will fit over all mil-spec diameter barrels (max of 1")

Mounting hardware, 2.4oz, for a total of 10.2oz on a very long 13 rail.

 

The KMR Alpha is hardcoat anodized for corrosion resistance as well as to maintain a non-reflective finish.

 

The KeyMod interface system was developed by Eric Kincel (now the Director of BCM's product development team) to work in parallel with the current picatinny system. In many applications it will advance modularity past the current 1913 rail system.

 

The BCM KMR Alpha also allows for a larger range of modularity offering 4 different offset mounting positions between traditional 3,6,9, and 12:00 positions.

 

In the most basic of applications the KeyMod system allows for universal modularity between various manufacturers of accessories, and accessory rails. A big win for the trigger puller. As the industry advances the modular accessories will mount directly to the KeyMod instead of picatinny, allowing for a lighter, cleaner, and less bulky weapon system.

Please note: Nylon/Polymer Picatinny rail sections are for NON-load bearing accessories only. For load bearing accessories, we recommend aluminum Picatinny rail sections. Do NOT exceed 20 in/lbs. when securing KeyMod Fasteners on Polymer accessories. Aluminum Picatinny rail sections may be torqued to 30 in/lbs

    Easy install extremely light

    I installed this handguard having no prior experience modifying my rifle. The instructions were detailed and simple to follow. Shipping was very fast. Dealing with bcm and there product was better than I could have ever expected.

    great handgaurd!

    i love the hand guard. i am a 18 year old who would classify myself as strong lol but i tell ya this hand guard took me about an hour to put on. but thats how its meant to be. it fits very snug which is nice. very comfortable hand guard as well. i love it!

    Perfection

    I have purchased 2 of these 1 in 9" and the 13" also. I've tried numerous types and this is now my go to. Fit, finish and weight can't me beat.

    Exactly what I wanted.

    I have tried the quad rails and Magpul handguards, both are fine, but I wanted a lighter, slim handguard for this build. I don't plan to mount anything other than a flashlight at this time and BCM provided a 3" picatinny rail in the kit so that is covered. Another quality product from BCM.

    Great but installation is a pain

    I really like this on my rifle but I'm taking 2 stars off for the difficulty of installation. The included barrel nut's outer diameter was too big for this handguard, I ended up having to use a sanding wheel to get it to where i could force the handguard on after blow drying it for over 10 minutes (also knicked my upper in this process and took the finish off it). this was a violent affair not a tap tap with a nylon hammer as described in the installation sheet. I fear I will never be able to get it off if I need to do any work on the gas block. Aside from that it is doing a great job anchoring my atlas bipod.

    BCM *ALPHA* 13 (Keymod Free Float Handguard)

    Have used MI 12" freefloats in the past, and they are great, but will probably upgrade to the Alpha 13 for future builds. Outstanding product!
