BCM® KMR Alpha 13 - FLAT DARK EARTH CERAKOTE (LIMITED QTYS)

 

All the advantages and features of Bravo Company's KeyMod™ Rail, now available in 100% aluminum

 

Manufactured from aluminum, it is lightweight yet durable. Also featuring a proprietary patent pending mounting, indexing and lock up system that mitigates 12:00 rail movement under heat generated from the barrel nut.

 

Handguard alone weighs 7.8oz!

Handguard flares forward (towards muzzle end) at the 3 and 9 O'clock positions approximately 1/4"

Actual length when measured to flare is 13.4"


The KMR barrel nut will fit over all mil-spec diameter barrels (max of 1")

Mounting hardware, 2.4oz, for a total of 10.2oz on a very long 13 rail.

 

The KMR Alpha is hardcoat anodized for corrosion resistance as well as to maintain a non-reflective finish.

 

The KeyMod interface system was developed by Eric Kincel (now the Director of BCM's product development team) to work in parallel with the current picatinny system. In many applications it will advance modularity past the current 1913 rail system.

 

The BCM KMR Alpha also allows for a larger range of modularity offering 4 different offset mounting positions between traditional 3,6,9, and 12:00 positions.

 

In the most basic of applications the KeyMod system allows for universal modularity between various manufacturers of accessories, and accessory rails. A big win for the trigger puller. As the industry advances the modular accessories will mount directly to the KeyMod instead of picatinny, allowing for a lighter, cleaner, and less bulky weapon system.

Please note: Nylon/Polymer Picatinny rail sections are for NON-load bearing accessories only. For load bearing accessories, we recommend aluminum Picatinny rail sections. Do NOT exceed 20 in/lbs. when securing KeyMod Fasteners on Polymer accessories. Aluminum Picatinny rail sections may be torqued to 30 in/lbs

    This is the perfect Hand guard / Rail system, light weight slim and feels great in hand. would like to see the price come down a little, I own 3 of these and they are Awesome!

    KMR 13”

    Really love this hand guard. Super thin so you can get a good purchase on the front of the rifle. The 13” is the prefect length for me to grip placement I was looking for without excess weight.

    Extremely satisfied

    Great handguard that is light, meets its intended purpose and looks sweet. So sturdy and solidly built. Somewhat difficult to install due to the tightness, but provides the peace of mind that it will not loosen or shift. Could not be happier.

    Not fde

    The handguard I received is grey. Like full on grey not even a little bit fde. I purchased this for a super high end build. I've been slowly buying carefully selected parts for it for months. Now that I have everything to build it, I open up the box and see a grey handguard. I hate returning things. I just don't have time for stuff like that. That's why I order from companies like bcm, the idea being that they won't let me down. Oh well I'll probably set this aside to use on some other build down the road. As for now I guess I have to find a different handguard to use for this build. Its unfortunate. I'm a big fan of the bcm kmr.

    KeyNod free float hand guard

    First timer installing a free floating hand guard. Super easy installation and good instructions. Love the weight and the quality American made product, 10/10. Will recommend.

    Love the new FDE on these

    My first FDE KMR was a ten inch that I bought a year ago and it was more of a brown color than this; very similar to Aero Precision's FDE. But the one I got this time is more tan colored and matches BCM's FDE plastic and is a near perfect match to Radian and Warne's FDR. My rail had a bit of blemish on the left hand side. I contacted BCM and they promptly offered a replacement. Instead, we settled on me getting refunded my shipping costs for the order. I thought that was perfectly appropriate since I did not feel it warranted a replacement. Love Bravo, will continue to be a customer.
