All the advantages and features of Bravo Company's KeyMod™ Rail, now available in 100% aluminum

Manufactured from aluminum, it is lightweight yet durable. Also featuring a proprietary patent pending mounting, indexing and lock up system that mitigates 12:00 rail movement under heat generated from the barrel nut.

 

Handguard alone weighs 6.2oz!

Mounting hardware, 2.4oz, for a total of 8.6oz on a 10 rail.

The KMR barrel nut will fit over all mil-spec diameter barrels (max of 1")

The KMR Alpha is hardcoat anodized for corrosion resistance as well as to maintain a non-reflective finish.

The KeyMod interface system was developed by Eric Kincel (now the Director of BCM's product development team) to work in parallel with the current picatinny system. In many applications it will advance modularity past the current 1913 rail system.

The BCM® KMR Alpha also allows for a larger range of modularity offering 4 different offset mounting positions between traditional 3,6,9, and 12:00 positions.

In the most basic of applications the KeyMod system allows for universal modularity between various manufacturers of accessories, and accessory rails. A big win for the trigger puller. As the industry advances the modular accessories will mount directly to the KeyMod instead of picatinny, allowing for a lighter, cleaner, and less bulky weapon system.

Please note: Nylon/Polymer Picatinny rail sections are for NON-load bearing accessories only. For load bearing accessories, we recommend aluminum Picatinny rail sections. Do NOT exceed 20 in/lbs. when securing KeyMod Fasteners on Polymer accessories. Aluminum Picatinny rail sections may be torqued to 30 in/lbs

    Looks great and extremely lightweight

    This is the best handrail I have ever seen. It is a little difficult to install but if you follow BCM's instructions to the "T" it will be a rewarding install

    Super strong,lightweight, and extremely well finished handguard! Pricing is very competitive considering they include the barrel nut, wrench, a BCM QD key mod mount, and a nylon key mod rail mount to enhance your quality handguard.
    I especially like the barrel nut cross bolt mounting system! Top quality.

    PRODUCT:Great !!!!!
    I have both the original BCM/KMR 10 and now have two *ALPHA* models. Have actually come to prefer the later because of the small weight advantage. BOTH are 1st rate products ! The lower price also is a factor !!!

    Superb handguard

    I have one of the original KMRs in 13" and now a KMR-A in 10". Both are excellent handguards, both do what is advertised. The only criticism I have is about the barrel nut. The material it is made of is considerably softer than most barrel wrenches (including the one provided with the handguard). For both installations I marred the actual material of the barrel nut and had to file it down to allow for fitment. I had hoped, having purchased two different products with the same design basis about six months apart, that the softness issue of the barrel nut would have been addressed. I suppose, at the end of the day the product works as it is intended, and that the material of the barrel nut is sufficient enough to preclude any major worry. At least BCM provides ample warning in the instruction sheet that this may occur. Going forward, I would highly recommend this product, but caution the user to be careful during installation of the barrel nut. And have a hair dryer handy.
