All the advantages and features of Bravo Company's KeyMod™ Rail, now available in 100% aluminum

Manufactured from aluminum, it is lightweight yet durable. Also featuring a proprietary patent pending mounting, indexing and lock up system that mitigates 12:00 rail movement under heat generated from the barrel nut.

 

Handguard alone weighs 6.2oz!

The KMR barrel nut will fit over all mil-spec diameter barrels (max of 1")

The KMR Alpha is hardcoat anodized for corrosion resistance as well as to maintain a non-reflective finish.

The KeyMod interface system was developed by Eric Kincel (now the Director of BCM's product development team) to work in parallel with the current picatinny system. In many applications it will advance modularity past the current 1913 rail system.

The BCM KMR Alpha also allows for a larger range of modularity offering 4 different offset mounting positions between traditional 3,6,9, and 12:00 positions.

In the most basic of applications the KeyMod system allows for universal modularity between various manufacturers of accessories, and accessory rails. A big win for the trigger puller. As the industry advances the modular accessories will mount directly to the KeyMod instead of picatinny, allowing for a lighter, cleaner, and less bulky weapon system.

Please note: Nylon/Polymer Picatinny rail sections are for NON-load bearing accessories only. For load bearing accessories, we recommend aluminum Picatinny rail sections. Do NOT exceed 20 in/lbs. when securing KeyMod Fasteners on Polymer accessories. Aluminum Picatinny rail sections may be torqued to 30 in/lbs

    Great

    The finish is perfect. It should be known that the finish is not an exact match to BCM's fde you will find on their stocks, grips, etc; it is darker and closer to Magpul's fde. But this does not bother me, looks great. It is a near perfect match to the fde that aero precision is using on their uppers, lowers and rails.

    KMR ALPHA "10" IS A TEN!

    My first experience with BCM hand guard and I am extremely happy with this product. I have lost count of how many different brands of hand guards I have used with some type of issue that I had to overcome. This one has been designed and engineered right from the start. Every feature of it's design works as advertised.
    Directions are easy to understand and the parts all fit as they should. The barrel nut is great for DI or piston applications, no issues with timing for the tube or rod. I used a Superlative Arms Piston system and although the clearance was close, it works fine. The hand guard fits very snug on the barrel nut, had to tap it on with a small plastic mallet, but it is solid as a rock! The top rail matches perfectly with the DPMS upper and looks like a factory finished product. I could sing many more praises but I have found my go to hand guard from now on. Buy BCM, you will not regret it.
