Kinesthetic Angled Grip - KeyMod™ Version

 

The KAG is the end result of collaboration between BCM® and Travis Haley, founder of Haley Strategic Partners and inventor of multiple weapons manipulation enhancements in the firearms industry.

Designed to complement modern shooting grips, the Kinesthetic Angled Grip (KAG) uses a biomechanically efficient forward rake to create an interface for positive retention and joint relief to the wrist, elbow, and shoulder, allowing for smooth weapon manipulation without substantial increase to the girth of the weapon system. Textured on both front and back, the profile of the KAG creates a channel for consistent and positive engagement which translates directly into improved efficiency in weapons manipulation and target to target transitions.

 

 Forward rake gives positive retention when using 'C-clamp' (thumb over bore) method of handguard support

 Works as a rest for supported firing positions

 Slight angle without significant bulk adds just the right amount of relief to the wrist without substantially increasing the girth of the handguard

Installation Instructions - Tools needed: T15 Torx Driver (not supplied)

- Insert tool (T15 Torx™ driver) into the screw from under the BCM KeyMod™ KAG Handstop

- Push tool into screw to extend the KeyMod anchor, making it protrude from the top

- Align the anchors to the two selected large holes of the desired KeyMod slots

- After the anchor is inserted, slide the KAG Handstop forward until it travels no further

- Push the Handstop against rail, engaging the accessory's recoil lug to the intersecting KeyMod opening

- With the Recoil Lug engaged, tighten screw to snug the anchor (approximately 18-20 inch-lbs. plus quarter turn*DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN*)

- Ensure there is no 'play' or forward/backward movement once tightened.

    Not a vertical grip in the best sort of way

    I have the preliminary stages of carpal tunnel syndrome, so vertical put my forward hand at an angle that causes pins and needles in my fingers. This provides the extra bit of support I want, and the proper wrist angle that I need. I've spent hours on the trigger, and suffered minimal fatigue and zero numbness with this attached to my rifle. The keymod attachment keeps it very close to the hand guard with no extra thickness of a 1913 rail adapter.

    Small and light

    Don't feel the need for a full vertical grip, this acts like a hand-stop. Less likely to get caught on stuff, too.

    great ergonomic profile

    The KAG is exactly what I've been looking for in the world of handstops/forward grips. The profile has the perfect angle and curve to fit my hand with out being too aggressive and sticking out for other gear to get caught on it.

    After researching numerous products for my 300 AAC pistol build I selected the KAG KeyMod finger stop to meet my needs. Challenged with the loss of a few fingers I found the KAG was the perfect answer for barrel control and quick follow-up shots.     BCM Kag Key Mod

    I found the Kag to be very comfortable in the hand for proper hand placement. Fit and finish were of very good quality.

    Thumbs up for BCM once again!

    When I first bought my Recce 16 KMR-A I originally went with the mod 3 vert grip, which is a great handstop. After awhile I wanted something lighter yet just as effective for a handstop, and that's when I came across the KAG. I don't regret buying it as it is very comfortable and effective.

    Like a glove

    My first time with keymod. It is so simple, tight, and easy. I could not be happier. Plus the fact that BCM makes the best doesn't hurt. High standards. Brave enough to stamp their name on it. And all the cool swag they send...You should see my garage!
