The BCM® Extractor Spring is a heavy coil design made for the increased extractor tension required on many AR15, M4, M16 short barreled rifles. This product also improves the reliability on a standard 16" and 14.5" carbines.
As with all BCM branded products, the highest quality is the primary focus. Our BCM Extractor Spring is manufactured by a 9001:2000 facility employing the latest precision equipment. BCM starts with only the highest quality chrome silicon material, heat treats to stress relieve the product and shot peens to add increased strength.
This kit also includes the new black extractor insert, standard on all M4, M4A1, Mk18 carbines and the recent new standard on M16A4 rifles. The BCM Extractor Spring is so strong the Mil-Spec Crane O-Ring will probably not be needed, but it is included.

    Excellent Spring Kit

    Put this kit in my palmetto state bolt and it feeds brass and steel ammo like a champ now, highly recommended cheap upgrade for any bolt. Note that the spring tension is extremely tight and will be harder to install than the factory extractor spring. The tension is so strong that the extractor will leave small markings on the spent brass where the extractor contacts the lip on the spent casing. Not sure how the additional pressure will affect the lips on the extractor itself, hopefully it does not affect it as the round count goes up.

    Haven't installed these yet but the previous BCM extractor spring kits I have used are outstanding.

    This is one of those things...

    That once you've needed it. You'll never 'not' have a few on hand ever again. If this won't extract it. It wasn't ever going to. Such a tiny, inexpensive, but crucial bit of kit.

    BCM Extractor Spring Upgrade Kit

    I have a 7.62x.39 rifle on the ar frame and had a terrible time getting it to extract the spent cartridge consistently. I installed the BCM Extractor Spring Upgrade Kit and now it extracts every time without fail. If your having an extraction problem start here. Its inexpensive and easy to do.
