The BCM®™ Compensator Mod 0-5.56
  • Tuned slots and interior cone offer recoil mitigation and compensation of muzzle-rise.
  • Designed to have less side blast and noise associated with typical compensators.
  • Nitride treated for maximum corrosion resistance
  • Includes a Crush Washer
  • Should be installed by a qualified armorer.
  • Threaded 1/2 x 28 for 5.56mm AR15 platforms.

Please note:

The combustion gasses exiting the muzzle of a rifle are extremely hot, traveling at extreme velocity, and contains not only burning gasses but solid particles of unburnt powder as well as metals from the projectile. Due to the inherent nature of steel, it is nearly impossible to survive unaffected in this environment when directly exposed. The high temperatures begin to make the steel more malleable, which allows solid particles and pressure waves to deform and erode surfaces upon exit.

Due to the new and unique design of the BCM® compensators, the user may notice small pits on the interior surfaces of the compensator. This is normal. Most designs do not impede the exit flow very much, while the BCM® approach is exactly opposite. These surfaces are specifically designed to operate within the environment found at the muzzle, and are intended to allow significant amounts of deterioration before any loss of performance is seen/felt. These compensators have been tested through many thousands of rounds, and while the wear surfaces may give pause to some users, trust when we say that it's normal.

    Surprisingly Effective!

I'd been doing a lot of muzzle device research and discounted the Mod 0 as I didn't see how it was physically possible to accomplish everything it claims in such a small package.
Fortunately for me, Mod 0's were free on the 16" LW Middy uppers I just ordered. I figured I'd give them a try and then probably replace them with something "better". It's impossible to engineer a hybrid muzzle device to excel at everything: Recoil reduction, muzzle rise reduction, flash reduction, concussion reduction, etc, as there must be tradeoffs. It's not the best at any single characteristic as it can be outperformed by a muzzle device specializing in a single characteristic (like pure flash hiders, for example) at the cost of performance in other areas, but it's an excellent "jack of all trades" blend of the most important characteristics.
I was genuinely surprised at how well the Mod 0 functions and aids in rapid fire handling, to the point of ending my muzzle device search right then and there.

    Effective, well-priced Comp

I was looking to replace my A2 flash hider with a compensator but I really didn't want to go with a gaudy, can-looking thing screwed onto my barrel. I was looking for something with a similar profile to the stock A2.

I compared the Mod0 to some other comparable options on the market and decided on the Mod0 based on favorable reviews at lower costs than some of the competitors. The muzzle rise on this comp really is an improvement over the stock A2 for rapid follow-up shots. The flash suppression isn't as good as the ol' birdcage but isn't too shabby. I know other folks at the range are glad I don't have a tank barrel comp blowing flames in their direction as well.

I'm very pleased with the Mod0 and would strongly recommend it. Paying more without gaining much more with some competing options doesn't make any sense when you get a feel for this comp's performance.

    The BCMGUNFIGHTER Compensator Mod 0-5.56

While this reduced the muzzle flip and recoil on my AR 15, the side blast and noise increased alot. I had several people at the range tell me that I had one of the noisest AR's they had ever heard. If ya don't mind the noise, it's a good buy.

Fits my Omni suppressor - Excellent

When I learned that BCM had developed a compensator with “exterior dimensions consistent with Mil-specs for mounting BFA or flash hider mounted suppressors” I was most interested. I had been wanting a “comp” that duplicated the critical exterior dimensions of an A2 FH so I could use it as the attachment for an AAC Omni suppressor on a 10.5" Mk18 upper. My primary goal was to have an affordable “sacrificial" blast baffle to reduce abuse to the can from that short barrel.

I am pleased to report that the Omni suppressor fits on the BCM comp just as well as an A2 FH. For me it’s a bit of a bonus that the comp also works so well in reducing muzzle rise. Surprisingly, its not bad on flash control either, better than other compensators I’ve observed. Fit and finish are excellent for those concerned with cosmetics - very trick piece of kit.

BCM has come up with exactly what I was looking for. Terrific product. Thanks Bravo company!!

    BCM Gunfighter Compensator

I was able to test out this new comp with Larry Vickers this October (2012). We compared this comp with a standard A2 and a Battle Comp 1.0. The BCM offering was the superior comp, with a better, more consistent recoil impulse and less concussion than the Battle Comp. It's flash suppression, while not as significant as the A2, was still better than the Battle Comp. BCM has another winner on its hands.
