I ordered this when I did not realize I already had one. So it is sitting on my shelf right now. But I can see the quality and functionality will be exactly what I need for my next build.
Nice addition for a lefty. Put it on my ruger ar-556 and it doesn't stick out on the right side as much as some people mentioned. It took a little getting used to im not used because I forget it's there but I like it. Easy install and fast shipping as always.
If you like the old school safety then this safety is for you. The only issue I had was the ambi side angles out a bit from the lower receiver. In other words it was not parallel with the lower receiver. I cautiously used channel lock plyers to bend it making it parallel. It was a simple fix but it would be better if this was not necessary. In the end I installed two of them and they look great work great.
This trigger is too wide by about 1/8 inch for the lower and will not let a Geissele Hi-speed national match trigger (DMR) fire. I put it in another lower with a Palmetto LPK and Palmetto LPK trigger. It works fine but feels sloppy and is an 1/8 inch too wide for that lower also.
Always a perfect fit and function. Won't buy from anyone else. Shipping is always fast too.
I can see why come complain that it's too wide, but I think it's about perfect. It stands off of the ejection port side of the receiver. It's only about 1mm on my sporter lower, just enough not to mark up the receiver. The handle surfaces theselves took a little getting used to as they are a bit thicker than standard AR fare. Not terrible, and easy to get used to, and I think Id appreciate the extra surface while wearing gloves.
Simple and as described
This ambi selector is good quality and works as it should. The right side selector is stepped out far enough not to scratch your receiver. Unlike some Chinese junk ambi selectors the right switch has a grove & channel to keep it aligned with the left side. I added a little low strength lock tight to make sure the screw stays put, but the tapered screw head probably would have done fine on its own.
Smooth, crisp engage and disengage, but the ejection side sticks out, leaving a 2mm gap between the receiver and the lever base.
