The A2X is an extended version of the A2 flash hider found on the M16 and M4 series of rifles.
 
  • Threaded for your 5.56mm carbine.
  • Machined from 4150 steel.
  • Phosphate coated per MIL-STD-171.
  • Predrilled hole at the base for permanent installation.

 

When mounted per BATF specifications for a permanent installation it will bring your 14.5" M4 barrel to a non-NFA length of over 16.1".

 

Installation should be done by a qualified gunsmith familiar with BATFE regulations.
 

The A2X is predrilled and comes with a dowel pin and crush washer for installation.

    Perfect!

    Brought my colt 14.5 exactly to 16.1. pre drilled. Dowl pin. Crush washer. Not a bad price for all of that if you going for the A2 look.

    Everything you need.

    BCM really thought this one out. In addition to the obvious feature of being sufficient length to bring your 14.5" barrel up to the mandated 16.1" without a tax stamp, the A2X comes with everything you'll need to install it, besides the labor. The A2X includes a crush washer and dowel pin, and is pre-drilled for the dowel. All your gunsmith will need to do is dimple the barrel, slide on the washer, twist on the flash hider, and solder the pin in place.

    Gives my carbine builds the standard M4 look. When installed it gives you exactly 16 inches.

    The only con is price.
