The A2X is an extended version of the A2 flash hider found on the M16 and M4 series of rifles.
 
  • Threaded for your 5.56mm carbine.
  • Machined from 4150 steel.
  • Phosphate coated per MIL-STD-171.
  • Predrilled hole at the base for permanent installation.

 

When mounted per BATF specifications for a permanent installation it will bring your 14.5" M4 barrel to a non-NFA length of over 16.1".

 

Installation should be done by a qualified gunsmith familiar with BATFE regulations.
 

The A2X is predrilled and comes with a dowel pin and crush washer for installation.

    I built the wife a 14.5 Carbine and needed to bring it to legal length so picked up one of these and couldn't be happier with it.

    I'm assuming it's the extra length of A2X but it actually offers pretty good compensation (better than the standard A2 length) as well as hiding flash just as good as the standard A2 Flash hider/comp.

    This is my first build and I wanted to give my rifle that classic look. After reading all the reviews here, I decided to go with this A2X (14.5" BCM barrel) and I am happy I did. Has able to time it just right with the crush washer. Added bonus was the pin that was included for pinning and welding; it received the same attention to detail as the flash hider and the ends of the pin was color coated to match. Now with the A2X its 16"+
