The A2X is an extended version of the A2 flash hider found on the M16 and M4 series of rifles.
 
  • Threaded for your 5.56mm carbine.
  • Machined from 4150 steel.
  • Phosphate coated per MIL-STD-171.
  • Predrilled hole at the base for permanent installation.

 

When mounted per BATF specifications for a permanent installation it will bring your 14.5" M4 barrel to a non-NFA length of over 16.1".

 

Installation should be done by a qualified gunsmith familiar with BATFE regulations.
 

The A2X is predrilled and comes with a dowel pin and crush washer for installation.

    A BCM Extended A2 Flash Suppressor a Day Keeps the Legal Trouble Away

    I ordered the extended flash suppressor for same reason everyone did-14.5” barrel (you know the rest). Besides clearly keeping my weapon NFA compliant, I’m very happy with the looks and quality of this product. It appears to be the same quality of every M16/M4 flash suppressor the I’ve ever used (including those I used in the Army). It spun on perfectly, and was a breeze to pin and weld. Although I don’t need another one, I may order one just to have on hand in my spare parts box.

    A2X flash suppressor

    I wanted a 14.5 inch barrel for my M4 carbine clone but because of nfa I needed a solution to pin and weld to make it comply to the law. I wanted to stay true to the military version but couldn’t find a flash suppressor until I came across the BCM A2X. I had it pinned and welded and it looked great! You can hardly notice any difference from the stock flash suppressor unless you really are looking. It’s just a little bigger to make it past 16.1” and of course the mark left from the weld. I’m very happy.

    Awesome Flash Hider

    Looks fantastic, way better than other A2 flash hiders and keeps the authentic look on my 14.5 SOCOM M4A1 build.

    Great extended FH. + Pin and hole are bonus

    Very nice that it comes with the appropriate size hole and corresponding down pin for a pin and weld. Perfect for 14.5 barrels. The finish looks much better than the picture.....like way way better finish than pictured. Decent price for all included.

    Simple but Effective

    This flash hider does a great job of hiding flash compared to a standard a2. The only issue I have with it is that because the ports or longer and only on the top of the muzzle device, I find the it actually drives my muzzle down because so much of the gas is going up. I wish this muzzle device had 7 cuts, 2 more on the bottom while still leaving the very bottom solid to prevent dust kick up. This would hide flash even better and not push the muzzle down as much.
