Have one in Multi cam needed one in grey.

Posted by Andrew B on Oct 27th 2017

Bought one of these months ago in multi cam for backpacking/hunting/fishing. I liked the functionality so much that I wanted one that was a little more discrete. So the grey one fit the bill. Plain and simple these are great day packs.

Works with and without a rig

I love this pack! I use it for work to carry an ipad as well as attach it to a chest rig for a water bladder. Works well either way.

    Good Construction, Website not clear

Posted by Sean K on Jan 13th 2016

The FlatPack in Grey is well built with quality zippers and seams. The grey version does not have the molle on the back or the velcro loop on the front as do the other colors. A BCM CSRstated this was intended to make it more concealable, but it is not apparent on the website. It is more concealable, looking like a cheap nylon bag until you get up close. The shoulder straps made from velcro, with tube/wire guides and quick buckles gives it away some. The pack comes with an extra set of quick buckles and straps to attach it to a chest rig. With standard size buckles, it attaches as the straps/back to a micro chest rig.
An improvement would add loop fields to the inside of the pockets, maybe as an upgrade option for improving internal organization.
The clarity of the BCM website needs improvement. BCM customer service was excellent though, responding in a day and offering to return the unit for a full refund. I chose to keep the unit and would still recommend it.
