BCM® Taper Pins for Front Sight Base (Set of 2)
Stock Status:
BCM®'s USGI Taper Pins to secure the front sight base to the barrel on a M16 Rifle or M4 Carbine. These should only be installed by a qualified AR15 Armorer. These will not fit in holes drilled for straight pins. Holes must be reamed with a 2/0 reamer. (Do not over ream)

    Holds my cut down gas block nicely

    I cut down an A2 FSB to use as a defacto low profile gas block. I'm not a fan of set screws so I drilled my barrel for taper pins. These work as you'd expect anything BCM to work.

    Taper Pins

    Yes they are only taper pins. And no I wouldn't trust getting them from anyone else but a top tier company. I go through BCM every time. My family's lives could depend on the performance of my rifle, and BCM takes no shortcuts.

    I was taking a chance to see it would fit on a low gas block that the pin came off and guess what the fit great.
