Manufactured from aluminum, it is lightweight yet durable. Also featuring a proprietary patent pending mounting, indexing and lock up system that mitigates 12:00 rail movement under heat generated from the barrel nut.

 

Handguard alone weighs 8.6oz!

The KMR barrel nut will fit over all mil-spec diameter barrels (max of 1")

 

Mounting hardware, 2.4oz, for a total of 11oz on a very long 15 rail.

 

The KMR Alpha is hardcoat anodized for corrosion resistance as well as to maintain a non-reflective finish.

 

The KeyMod interface system was developed by Eric Kincel (now the Director of BCM's product development team) to work in parallel with the current picatinny system. In many applications it will advance modularity past the current 1913 rail system.

 

The BCM KMR Alpha also allows for a larger range of modularity offering 4 different offset mounting positions between traditional 3,6,9, and 12:00 positions.

 

In the most basic of applications the KeyMod system allows for universal modularity between various manufacturers of accessories, and accessory rails. A big win for the trigger puller. As the industry advances the modular accessories will mount directly to the KeyMod instead of picatinny, allowing for a lighter, cleaner, and less bulky weapon system.

Please note: Nylon/Polymer Picatinny rail sections are for NON-load bearing accessories only. For load bearing accessories, we recommend aluminum Picatinny rail sections. Do NOT exceed 20 in/lbs. when securing KeyMod Fasteners on Polymer accessories. Aluminum Picatinny rail sections may be torqued to 30 in/lbs

    Awesome rail

    This rail is awesome if you are building a rifle or if you need to upgrade to a freefloat rail. It is worth every penny! It looks great on my Spikes Crusader build. BCM is great company to give your business to because they make a great product and they are true supporters of We The People & the Second Amendment.

    Excellent Quality

    This handguard is excellent quality and very light. The documentation is clear and easy to follow. The fit is very tight so follow the installation tips regarding lightly oiling the barrel nut and applying heat for about 60 seconds. I also used a nylon hammer to gently tap the handguard in to place. GO SLOW and do not try to wiggle the handguard down. Light taps eventually lined up the retaining screws. The handguard fit perfectly over a Daniel Defense gas .750 gas block. I have already purchased another Alpha for my 300 Blackout build. Highly recommended.

    The perfect handguard

    KMR Handguard

    This is my first AR and my first build. A friend of mine told me that I should check out Bravo Company, glad I did. The shipping was fast, the handguard is light, and it looks pretty bad @$$.
