Manufactured from aluminum, it is lightweight yet durable. Also featuring a proprietary patent pending mounting, indexing and lock up system that mitigates 12:00 rail movement under heat generated from the barrel nut.

 

Handguard alone weighs 8.6oz!

Handguard flares forward (towards muzzle end) at the 3 and 9 O'clock positions approximately 1/4"

Actual length when measured to flare is 15.0"

The KMR barrel nut will fit over all mil-spec diameter barrels (max of 1")

 

Mounting hardware, 2.4oz, for a total of 11oz on a very long 15 rail.

 

The KMR Alpha is hardcoat anodized for corrosion resistance as well as to maintain a non-reflective finish.

 

The KeyMod interface system was developed by Eric Kincel (now the Director of BCM's product development team) to work in parallel with the current picatinny system. In many applications it will advance modularity past the current 1913 rail system.

 

The BCM KMR Alpha also allows for a larger range of modularity offering 4 different offset mounting positions between traditional 3,6,9, and 12:00 positions.

 

In the most basic of applications the KeyMod system allows for universal modularity between various manufacturers of accessories, and accessory rails. A big win for the trigger puller. As the industry advances the modular accessories will mount directly to the KeyMod instead of picatinny, allowing for a lighter, cleaner, and less bulky weapon system.

Please note: Nylon/Polymer Picatinny rail sections are for NON-load bearing accessories only. For load bearing accessories, we recommend aluminum Picatinny rail sections. Do NOT exceed 20 in/lbs. when securing KeyMod Fasteners on Polymer accessories. Aluminum Picatinny rail sections may be torqued to 30 in/lbs

    Excellent Product

    I own a Colt LE6920 and it had been a safe queen for most of the 2 yrs I've owned it..
    To make a long story short - one of the guys I know, who competes in 3 Gun, suggested your site...He uses this exact same handguard..I couldn't be any more satisfied with this purchase! I will be competing in my 1st Tactical rifle match next month!

    Awesome Machining

    Purchased this handguard and a complete bcm lower for a recent build and can tell you the craftsmanship is unmatched anywhere handguard fits over the barrel nut so tight it probably wouldn't need securing with screws can't say enough about it. God Bless the USA!!!

    I ordered a 15" kmr rail from bcm and let me tell you...this rail system is so nice completwly changed my outlook on my rifle...they processed my order so fast...I placed my order Saturday night they processed my order and packed it Sunday and I had a tracking number Monday ! Pretty awesome! Not many companies will process an order or do any kind of work on a sunday! My order came in a nice box and they even threw in some stickers and stuff like that!
