Manufactured from aluminum, it is lightweight yet durable. Also featuring a proprietary patent pending mounting, indexing and lock up system that mitigates 12:00 rail movement under heat generated from the barrel nut.

The KMR Alpha is hardcoat anodized for corrosion resistance as well as to maintain a non-reflective finish.

 

The KeyMod interface system was developed by Eric Kincel (now the Director of BCM's product development team) to work in parallel with the current picatinny system. In many applications it will advance modularity past the current 1913 rail system.

 

The BCM KMR Alpha also allows for a larger range of modularity offering 4 different offset mounting positions between traditional 3,6,9, and 12:00 positions.

 

In the most basic of applications the KeyMod system allows for universal modularity between various manufacturers of accessories, and accessory rails. A big win for the trigger puller. As the industry advances the modular accessories will mount directly to the KeyMod instead of picatinny, allowing for a lighter, cleaner, and less bulky weapon system.

Do NOT exceed 20 in/lbs. when securing KeyMod Fasteners on Polymer accessories. Aluminum Picatinny rail sections may be torqued to 30 in/lbs

    Perfect in every way

    The rail was shipped and arrived on time. Pricing was fair in my opinion. The rail is strong, fits perfect and looks amazing. Bravo company is up to par on everything.

    The rail finish isn't the strongest / most scratch resistant I've seen, but in no way do I personally consider this an issue.

    Awesome handguard and have no regrets choosing it. It was a pain getting guard over barrel nut even when heated but still worth it

    The best I have used

    I purchased the KMR for my 18" 3 gun rifle. The narrow diameter makes it much more ergonomic and controllable than the DD Omega or Fortis REV I have owned, at least for me. I used an SLR Sentry 7 gas block, it clears without issue, my Syrac gen 1 clamp style wasn't anywhere close to fitting.
    The install is pretty straight forward, you will need to heat the handguard, but if you get it hot enough and put a little oil on the barrel nut, you wont need a mallet. On my first try, I torqued the barrel nut down to 50 ft lbs per the instructions and lined up the screw holes with the barrel nut, this left the indexing clip loose as the handguard was just a bit too far from the receiver. I put another 15 ft lbs on the barrel nut and it lined up perfectly.
    I shot a major 3 gun match with it this weekend and could not be happier with it. These will be on all of my rifles from here on out. You can't beat this rail at any price and for $200 it's a steal!

    Rail damaged during install

    The rail i purchased looked high in quality the finish was flawless. Unfortunately i damaged the rail while installing it so i did not get an opportunity to see how it felt on the gun.

    Excellent Handguard

    I looked at a lot of handguards when planning my build and decided on BCM. It's light, very versatile regarding attachment points, comfortable to hang on to and looks great! As with all BCM products quality is perfect and shipping was lightning quick. I have had nothing but excellent results with every BCM product I have tried and this Handguard is no different.

    Alpha 15 Rail

    I typically do not write reviews for many products, however, the Alpha 15 rail is phenomenal, I love it. For being a 15 inch rail it is crazy light, sturdy and simple. I was surpised how much it lightened the rifle up from my larue 12 inch rail. The rail was a little hard to install (I don't know if it is my upper or if its the tight clearances on the rail) however the rail is totally worth buying and using.
