All the advantages and features of Bravo Company's KeyMod™ Rail, now available in 100% aluminum

 

Manufactured from aluminum, it is lightweight yet durable. Also featuring a proprietary patent pending mounting, indexing and lock up system that mitigates 12:00 rail movement under heat generated from the barrel nut.

 

Handguard alone weighs 7.8oz!

Handguard flares forward (towards muzzle end) at the 3 and 9 O'clock positions approximately 1/4"

The KMR barrel nut will fit over all mil-spec diameter barrels (max of 1")

Mounting hardware, 2.4oz, for a total of 10.2oz on a very long 13 rail.

 

The KMR Alpha is hardcoat anodized for corrosion resistance as well as to maintain a non-reflective finish.

 

The KeyMod interface system was developed by Eric Kincel (now the Director of BCM's product development team) to work in parallel with the current picatinny system. In many applications it will advance modularity past the current 1913 rail system.

 

The BCM KMR Alpha also allows for a larger range of modularity offering 4 different offset mounting positions between traditional 3,6,9, and 12:00 positions.

 

In the most basic of applications the KeyMod system allows for universal modularity between various manufacturers of accessories, and accessory rails. A big win for the trigger puller. As the industry advances the modular accessories will mount directly to the KeyMod instead of picatinny, allowing for a lighter, cleaner, and less bulky weapon system.

Please note: Nylon/Polymer Picatinny rail sections are for NON-load bearing accessories only. For load bearing accessories, we recommend aluminum Picatinny rail sections. Do NOT exceed 20 in/lbs. when securing KeyMod Fasteners on Polymer accessories. Aluminum Picatinny rail sections may be torqued to 30 in/lbs

    Great first impression

    I have yet to get the rail installed but the first impression of this rail is great. No rough edges on the handguard around the keymod attachment points which was a worry as I have not had a rail with that attachment method before. After I get it installed I will know more but at this point I would have no issue buying another keymod rail from here

    BCM and KeyMod are the way to go!

    I have used 4 of these handguards in recent builds. The KeyMod system is definitely the way to go for managing equipment on the rifle. The layout BCM has come up with is the most innovative on the market. The reduced weight is impressive, and the barrel nut/ mounting system are stout. I rarely do reviews, and I am stingy with stars. But BCM was able to get me to come back 3 more times with this great product. I don't see another rail out there to compete with this for price, weight, and product.

    Best Yet

    I have a BCM midlength on an LMT lower with Geiselle SSA. Larue, Daniel Defense, YHM, Knights SOPMOD, I have used all of them along with the plethora of "stock" including Colt m4 handguards. This is overall the best. All the features are great. The Keymod is thin light and strong. My Scoutlight mounts perfect at 11 o'clock (lefty). The slots can be a little ornery until you get used to mounting style. Love it though. Highly recommend

    Sexy

    I started a new AR build this year, yea...14.5 and im using the kmr rail system havent had a chance to put it together ..but all my buddies been tlk about this kmr rail and i ordered before them..haha ...

    BCM KMR handguard

    It was a little bit of a tight fit on the barrel nut when I installed it. I took a very fine piece of sandpaper and smoothed out the coating where the barrel but was seating, added a little lubricant and Boom! it fit perfect. Great product and functions perfectly.

    Wished it shipped free. $200 product with no free shipping. Slacking! Would have been 5 stars had it included shipping.

    This handguard is solid, lightweight and very easy to install. Shipping was very fast as well. Great product.
