The Mod 3B latch extends past the main body of the charging handle by approximately 1.14".
The Mod 4B latch extends past the main body of the charging handle by approximately .91".
For comparison a USGI handle latch extended past the main body of the charging handle by approximately .85"


Compatible with Mil-Spec AR-15 Direct Impingement Weapon Systems.

    What a difference!

    I never thought a charging handle would really make a difference, so I never worried about trying to upgrade beyond stock/mil-spec. After installing some flip-up scope covers, my access to the charging handle became minimal (using the old two-finger method) so I decided to give this a try. What a difference! Very solid and smooth operation. I’m sold. Ordered the 4x4 model for a pistol build I just finished (from another vendor since they were out of stock here). Well done!

    Mod 3B charging handle

    Seems nice, I have an original Mod 3 Voltar/BCM charging handle I absolutely love and I like it much better than the Mod 3B I ordered. I bought this one to update the rifle but it's now a spare as the original Mod 3 Voltar/BCM is staying in the rifle because it just feels better and has the American Flag on it. The newer BCM charging handles are nice but latches are a bit different in appearance, feel and the way they actuate.

    Undisputed best

    Nothing to improve. The latch length and design: perfect. Surface finish and corner/edge smoothness: perfect. Added little hump on the new version to direct gasses away from shooter: a welcome addition!

    A no brainer mod. I have a bcm large gunfighter on every AR I own, and recommend it to new competitors who haven't yet discovered them.
