I have the 1.5 on a 14.5 Bravo Upper. Felt Recoil and Muzzle rise are nearly ZERO, which i really love, BUT a 105 Howitizer is quieter. I shot it without ear plugs and my ears rang for 2 days, which makes the Self Defense option kinda useless for a Shorty. If somebody is breaking in to my house, im not going to yell, Dont come any Farther till i get my Earplugs. I have a 16 and a 20 bravo Upper with Standard flash hiders that i can shoot comfortably Without Ear Protection. Other than that, I love it.
This is an excellent product. It does a great job of reducing flash, as per its intended purpose.
It doesn't reduce recoil (you'd need a true compensator for that), rather, it redirects it fully towards your shoulder. Therefore, while you feel more kick, there's also less rise, so follow up shots are easier than ever with good shooting fundamentals.
Doesn't increase noise like other compensators.
Overall, great product for the price - easy install, looks mean and completely improves your rifle handling.

Great comp! I use it on a carbine length gas piston setup and it performs quite well. It does not seem to reduce the recoil, but rather direct it strait back to your shoulder. With almost no muzzle rise you can stay on target for really quick follow up shots. Not much muzzle flash either.
