BCM® 300 Blackout Barrels

Continuous taper designed for optimal weight, balance, and performance.

Fluted profile toward the rear near chamber area - Increases strength and heat dissipation.

Tapered profile out front, for easier maneuverability.

No sharp handguard cap shoulder for improved barrel harmonics and improved accuracy.

This barrel will need a pistol length gas tube and a .750 gas block.

Muzzle threaded in standard 30 cal (5/8x24)

BCM® has taken great care to ensure the best possible performance and interchangeability. However, due to the large operational range of 300 Blackout ammunition in the market place, BCM cannot guarantee function will all ammunition types in all conditions. These barrels were designed to run with a carbine buffer with subsonic ammo and a H3 buffer with high velocity ammo. Fine tuning may be required in limited instances based on ammo choices and buffer choices that works best for their application.
BCM also recommends running the Crane O-ring (provided with all BCM Bolt Carrier Groups) over the extractor with 300 Blackout.

M4 Feed Ramp Barrel Extension
In developing the USGI M4 carbine as one of the primary weapons for todays infantry, some modifications were performed to the original M16 platform to enhance the reliability of the shorter barreled carbines. With the shorter carbine gas system and the increased gas port pressure, the carbine cycled faster, and at times the cycle rate could be faster than the magazine would feed ammunition. One of the modifications done to increase reliable feeding included enhancing the angle and the length of the feed ramps. This USGI modification was done to both the barrel extension and the upper receiver, creating a longer and steeper feed ramp. These Mil-Spec M4 feed ramps are part of the original CNC manufacturing process. As a result, the factory machined M4 feed ramps on the receiver are hard coat anodized which adds significant strength to the aluminum. This feature is offered on all BCM barrels.

Mil-Spec Barrel Steel (Mil-B-11595E)
BCM barrel steel is Mil-Spec per MIL-B-11595E. This grade (CMV) of steel is a Mil-Spec steel used in the USGI M16 family of rifles; it is stronger and will last longer than the typical barrels offered in the commercial market. The Mil-Spec grade steel gets its additional strength and rigidity from an increase in carbon and/or vanadium in the alloy. This will offer increased barrel life and performance through use in all types of extreme environments and temperatures.

Chrome Bore and Chamber
One of the first modifications that were made to the original M16 in the mid 1960s was the addition of the chrome lined bore and chamber. It is now a world wide standard in the industry for a battle rifle. The chrome bore and chamber is harder than the barrel steel and on the USGI M16/M4 rifles will aid in chambering, extraction, and reliability. It increases velocity, and also resist against fouling and corrosion from extended use in the field. This gives the end user a longer barrel life with less required time in maintenance and cleaning.

Manganese Phosphate Barrel Finish
Barrels are parkerized with the manganese phosphate finish (Mil-Spec A-A-59267). Military specifications also state that the entire barrel surface is phosphate finished to create a porous surface to absorb oil as to resist against corrosion from the elements. BCM barrels are phosphated before installation of front sights. This is a much more extensive assembly operation, but insures that the entire barrel is finished and protected.

    Great barrel!!!

    Hey,

Just wanted say I have 4 BFH barrels and built this barrel on a 8 inch BCM keymod with a CMT upper and lower and of course and it fits, shoots and performs like all their other barrels. I have to say I am a real BCM owner for years and they just do not fail, I wanted the 11.5 5.56 But to be honest, .300 is good, it's fluting helps cool but really it shoots at 100 to 300 yard's accurately and is incredibly efficient with non sub 300 blackout. I have a VG6 .300 BLK muzzle break and it is loud, suppressed I would use a h3 buffer. it is a great barrel , I own the BFH in many sizes but for 300 blkout I can say I do not notice much difference but a bit of kick and louder, I would say at short CBQ ranges it is fun and also great protection and more lethal. BCM is my company and is similar to Spikes but almost better with dimples already installed. easy to install, no compromise. I'm telling you, once you go BCM, there just isn't no other!

    Perfect balance

Used this for my first 300blk pistol build - everything fit perfectly, good balance of length and weight and shot well the first time out

    Great barrel excellent machining

The only issue I have with this barrel is that that I wish the gas port was larger. Such a short barrel with a pistol length would really benefit from a larger port. Works like a champ once it is up to .125

    300 Blackout Barrel

If it shoots like it looks it'll be a winner. The barrel installed perfectly and is very light weight. I have used Bravo Company products in the past always with satisfaction.

    Excellent Quality Barrel

The BCM 9" fluted barrel is exactly what I was looking for. The machining is of the finest quality. It feels quite solid and I'm eager to put many rounds through it.

    quality

Looks fantastic!! So far performance is what was expected. Maybe a first time purchaser over $300 should get a cap.
